Hand-Sewn Saddle Stitching vs Machine Lock Stitching

Hand-sewn saddle stitching uses the “running stitch” technique that offers a stronger construction for our products. Technically, hand-stitched line uses a single thread with needle on both end. Two independent thread intertwine with each other that will not unravel. As a result, the leather will not be separated even if one side of the thread happens to break.
In contrast, other products made by sewing machine with the “lock stitch” technique is more vulnerable since the entire thread will potentially unravel if the thread happens to break, as a result, separate the leather pieces.

 EDGES

All of the edges of our products are carefully painted, burnished and polished by our professional crafters, using heat and friction, to create a stiff, smooth and shiny edges. The robust edges protect the stitching and lead to durability.
